Bachelor’s Degree in Business

Graduate with your business degree, lifelong friends and mentors, and a bright future ahead.

When you study at Oak Valley College, you’re getting so much more than a traditional four-year degree (in less time). It’s not just about completing a checklist of classes. Instead, it’s the perfect balance of community, academics, and co-curricular activities.

More Than a Traditional Degree

Why a Bachelor of Arts in Business?

“The short length of the program and the cost make it a smart choice, and the skills I’ll learn will transfer to other industries, like education. I can do a lot with a business degree.”
Emma Patterson, Class of 2026

At Oak Valley College, you can earn your Bachelor of Arts in Business in 2 years and 8 months. Don’t click away yet—a business degree doesn’t mean you have to own a business!

Getting your BA in Business will give you a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that can transfer to multiple industries and career paths. Sure, you can start a business if you like, but you can also pursue a career in management, retail, service, hospitality, education, nonprofit work, ministry, the public or private sector, and so much more.

Why Your Debt-Free Degree Matters

Going to college should put you ahead financially, not set you back.

  • $800,000 or more in earnings over the lifetime of your career (and possibly millions)

  • Valuable, connected relationships with a community of peers and mentors

  • Dedicated Christian professors who care about you and your future.

  • Guided education and career development training that sets you up for success.

On average, American college graduates have roughly $30,000 in student loans. You shouldn’t have to take on astronomical debt in order to further your education and brighten your future.

Still, skipping out on college isn’t a better alternative. Choosing not to get your Bachelor’s degree could cost you:

  • Business Practice

  • Written Communication

  • Critical Thinking

  • Creative Problem Solving

  • Biblical Literacy and Christian Worldview

  • Oral Communication

  • Lifelong Learning

  • Quantitative Literacy

  • Information Literacy

Launch Pad

Think. Create. Develop. Launch.

Launch Pad, Oak Valley College’s capstone experience, is a series of three courses that guide you through the lifecycle of bringing a product or service to life. You have an important role to play and you’ll launch your idea, sharing challenges and successes along the way.

The Launch Pad is a four-step process:

Ideation: creating an idea that could transform companies, nonprofits, or ministries

Creation: narrowing the idea into a refined product or service

Development: identifying everything you need to launch the product or service

Launch: offering the product or service

Get Off The Ground

You and your team will develop a real-world product for a business, nonprofit, ministry, or government organization. During the capstone, you’ll gain valuable, transferable skills and portfolio material that will serve you whether you choose to become employed or own a business. Most importantly, you’ll complete Launch Pad well prepared to launch your career.

More than distant, impersonal lecturers—we know and care for you.

Oak Valley College professors are more than experts in their fields. They’re passionate Christians looking to contribute to your personal, professional, and spiritual growth.

Because we offer small group learning, you’ll have direct access to your professors. Rather than getting lost in a sea of faces, you’ll get dedicated, one-on-one attention from mentors who truly see and know you.
