The average Oak Valley College student receives approximately $5,000 in grants.
Private grants and scholarships you receive outside state and federal grants aren’t included in determining your financial aid award here. As long as you remain enrolled and in good standing, your tuition will not increase while you attend.

Oak Valley College is eligible but chooses not to participate in federal student loan programs. Therefore, students who attend Oak Valley College do not have federal student loans. Instead, our students apply for Cal Grants (State) and Pell Grants (Federal).
Grants
Students who receive a Cal Grant attend Oak Valley on a full tuition scholarship. All other students receive generous financial aid awards to make the cost of attendance exceptionally affordable.
For the first year, your total tuition costs will be covered by gift aid. Scholarships include all state, federal, and institutional awards.
Oak Valley will not make up any loss of federal or state grant money in years 2-3.
Cal Grant
Pell Grant recipients pay a few hundred dollars for tuition per semester. If you receive a Pell Grant, confirm your exact payment with your admissions counselor.
Pell Grant
Financial aid is need-based, meaning that all aid eligibility is determined by your family’s financial circumstances. A standard method is used to review your estimated payment.
On average, if you do not receive a Cal or Pell Grant, you pay around $400-$600 per month to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Oak Valley College. That’s 40% less than attending Cal State University and 80% less than other Christian colleges and universities.
Regardless of your financial need, we encourage you to apply for financial aid. You can also apply for state and federal aid if you wish.

Regardless of your current financial situation Oak Valley College is affordable.

Many companies also provide tuition reimbursement programs, which removes financial burdens from their employees. Tuition reimbursement paves the way for higher education for millions of students.
Chipotle - $5,250 per year if you work more than 15 hours per week and have been on the job at least 120 days
McDonald’s - $2,500 per year if you work more than 15 hours per week and have been on the job at least 90 days
CarMax - $5,250 per year if you are full-time; $2,500 if you are part-time
Best Buy - $3,000 per year if you work more than 32 hours per week
Wells Fargo - up to $5,000 per year
Bank of America - up to $5,250 per year
Home Depot - $1,500 per year for part-time employees

Admissions Checklist
Pay a nonrefundable $250 deposit.
Complete and submit the online Application for Admission.
Complete an interview with an admissions counselor and schedule your on-campus visit.
Submit copies of your official high school transcript(s) or General Education Development (GED) certificate (upon graduation and before the start of the Fall semester). To pursue an educational opportunity at Oak Valley College you must be a high school graduate or obtain your GED certificate (or equivalency).
Apply for Financial Aid. You must complete the online FAFSA application to be considered for grants or scholarships. The Oak Valley College school code is 042934. Your admissions counselor will advise you on requirements and answer any questions.
Our admissions counselors will reach out to schedule your enrollment appointment. They will also review your enrollment form, guide you through your financial award letter, provide you with further information about financial aid resources, and highlight important obligations under the Enrollment Agreement.

We review applications weekly and will notify you of your status via email.
Each submitted application is reviewed by our Admissions Committee, which consists of Oak Valley College Academic and Enrollment leadership.
You may be denied admission based on:
Misrepresentation of personal information, including your academic record
Failure to complete high school graduation at roughly the same academic level, grade point average, and timeframe as was communicated in your application
Pending criminal prosecution
Violation of our Honor Code
