The Bureau of Labor Statistics, the government's scorekeeper on employment, released new figures yesterday, April 5. The unemployment rate for college graduates is 2.5% vs. 5.6% for high school graduates. Weekly wages for college grads is $1,227, almost twice as much as high school grads at $678. Finally, the employment rate for college grads is 82.6% vs. 67.8% for high school grads.
In general, everyone knows that college graduates are more successful than high school graduates in every category. These latest statistics reinforce that notion.
