Commencement Features Olympian

Join Oak Valley to celebrate its first graduating class as they launch into the world. It is great time to acknowledge student achievement and support students as they move into their career positions and to a future full of promise.

Oak Valley’s Commencement features Willie Banks, Olympian, world-record triple jumper, and successful business leader. Mr. Banks will share the inspiration that helped him move from the Olympic stadium to serve in a variety of national and international leadership roles.

Mr. Banks’ path through Olympics and World Championships provides a fitting metaphor to students - spend years preparing yourself, then speed down a runway, timing your steps just right to hit your mark and stretch to reach your goal.

If you wish to play a role in Oak Valley’s celebration, volunteer opportunities are available to support Baccalaureate or Commencement on Friday, April 26 or Saturday, April 27. Also, seats for both events are available if you wish to celebrate with students, families, administrators, faculty, and staff. Simply sign up at www.oakvalleycollege.org/commencement to RSVP.

Also, most graduates have found their career positions, but there are a few who are still looking. If you know of an opening in marketing, finance, operations, or general administration, please reach out to Eric Blum, eblum@oakvalleycollege.org.

Finally, your prayers are always encouraged. Please add the graduates and students of Oak Valley to your prayer list.
