three paths to your future
Live by Gathering Together
Wherever two or more are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. (Matthew 18:20)
Join a community a mile above the status quo. You are welcomed into a powerful, fun-loving, God-honoring family on the mountain. Each week is full of activities to help you dream big and explore the gifts God has given you. Counselors, engaging speakers (pastors and professionals), and program leaders breathe life into the community and guide you through a purpose-filled year. At the end of the program, you have the opportunity to stay on staff and work with Forest Home's Summer Camps.
Learn by Exploring God's Word
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:11-12)
Learn, trust, and believe that God will reveal His purpose and passion for your future. As you explore the Bible through a four-course sequence (12 units), you gain an appreciation of the Old and New Testaments, a disciplined exploration of theology and its application to your life, and a spiritual study to help you develop an appreciation for prayer life, contemplation, spiritual expression, and devotion.
You complete the program with a greater appreciation for God's Word and how to apply it to your everyday life.
Grow by Doing
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. (James 1:22)
Put your energy and effort into a cause bigger than yourself. Through a variety of work assignments and service projects you learn more about yourself, how to work with others, and the power of serving.
At the same time, working within the Forest Home community seldom seems like work. Work assignments support amazing Christian groups, you work alongside fellow Christians in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
While you learn by doing, you are also guided through career planning workshops and exercises designed to help you better understand your talents, skills, passions, and goals. By the end of the program, you will have a portfolio of experiences and a clear understanding of the types of pursuits that align with your unique gifts.
