Career Planning

Oak Valley College provides tailored career coaching aligned with Forest Home Human Resources.  This benefit helps employees leverage their work experience and academic pursuits to meet specific career goals.  On-site work projects and career development opportunities are closely coordinated with senior leadership at Forest Home to provide career-specific development opportunities.

Mentoring

Mentor with a local executive who will share his/her experience with you.  These relationships help you explore career paths and gain personal insights from seasoned professionals willing to share with you.   Mentors are senior level executives at ministries, nonprofits, and private industry.  A survey will help match you with a mentor.

Forest Home Logic Study

You, and your OVC classmates from Forest Home, will participate in a logic study where you interview key leaders at Forest Home to learn the inside story of how Forest Home works.  This engaging and enjoyable experience ends with a presentation to senior staff to share your insights and build exclusive relationships that help you work better together, serve the mission of Forest Home, and identify yourself as a future leader.

Additional Exclusive Benefits

Workshops, seminars, and exclusive Oak Valley College/Forest Home programs and events are under development.  If you have suggestions or want to learn more contact OVC or Forest Home.  Contact information is in the left-hand column.

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe - as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
